Submitting  Electronic Media

Items that can be streamed

1.  Post your entry on YouTube.

2.  In an email sent from your Elon email account, include the story's title and a 50- to 200-word description of it.

3.  In the email, state that you agree to the Contest Submission Agreement that is printed at the bottom of this page.

4.  Send the email to WritingContest@elon.edu.

5. In your email, make sure to include the YouTube link information that will allow access to your content.

Websites

1.  Upload your website to a server where it can reside for the rest of this school year. (One option for doing so is to use your student U: Drive by placing your website content inside the “public_html” folder therein. The link to your website will then be something like this: http://student.elon.edu/your_username/website_folder_name/index.html.)

2.  In an email sent from your Elon email account, include the website's title and a 50- to 200-word description of it.

3.  In the email, state that you agree to the Contest Submission Agreement that is printed at the bottom of this page.

4.  Send the email to WritingContest@elon.edu.

5. Make sure to include the link to your website in your email.

Contest submission agreement

1.  When you submit an entry, you are confirming that, consistent with the Elon Honor Code, it is your original work.

2.  You give Elon permission to display your entry publicly at the contest website and in other ways without fee or other consideration. However, you retain the copyright for your entry and may use your entry in other ways, if you wish.

3.  Elon retains the right, at its sole discretion, to determine whether to display an entry.

4.  Elon is not responsible for preserving your submission. To assure that you have a copy in the future, you must save it on your own.
