The Elon University Board of Visitors initiates and conducts programs and activities for the advancement of Elon University, which are consistent with the programs, plans and policies of the Administration and Board of Trustees. Such programs shall include:
A. Recommending to the Administration and the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees measures to strengthen the University and to assist in the fulfillment of its mission of becoming a distinctive national model of academic excellence.
B. Serving as volunteer representatives of Elon University in their respective areas, interpreting Elon University programs and policies to prominent persons and institutions to which they are connected.
C. Providing their diverse technical, professional, and business resources to advise and assist the Administration and the Board of Trustees.
D. Identifying and securing financial and volunteer support for Elon University, including helping to raise annual, capital and planned gifts for Elon University.
