Goal 3: Provide Resources to Support Excellence

PLAN AND IMPLEMENT THE NEXT COMPREHENSIVE CAMPAIGN TO REACH THE GOALS OF THE NEW CENTURY @ ELON, PHASE II

BUILD THE ENDOWMENT

• Significantly increase the endowment in current and planned gifts for the following priorities:
  - Increase need-based scholarships to provide access for students who bring a variety of experiences, backgrounds and perspectives
  - Increase endowed scholarship aid designated for students with special academic and athletic talents
  - Increase endowment in support of the Elon Experiences
  - Endow the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning
  - Increase Elon’s capacity to maintain an expanding campus by endowing building maintenance
  - Endow additional professorships for outstanding faculty committed to the Elon teacher-scholar model

INCREASE ANNUAL GIVING

• Increase Phoenix Club to $1 million annually
• Increase Law School annual giving to $500,000
• Increase alumni participation to 35%
• Promote a culture of philanthropy with students

RAISE CAPITAL FUNDS FOR NEW FACILITIES

• Auditorium
• Lindner Building
