Business Dual-Degree Program

Creating global citizens with multinational business experience

The trend towards global markets is continuously on the rise. In order to be prepared for the challenges this brings, it’s vital for business professionals to have a vast knowledge of modern management concepts as well as an understanding of economic, cultural and social environments at the international level.

Offered by the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business and the top-ranked ESB Business School at Reutlingen University in Germany and NEOMA Business School in France, the business dual-degree program offers an unusual opportunity for extended study and work in two cultures while exposing students to international business, giving them a competitive edge in the global marketplace.

Students participating in the program will be fluent in English and either German or French and will learn how to be successful in a foreign business environment while gaining the knowledge, skills and abilities mastered by traditional business students.

A unique approach

Elon students participating in the dual degree program will spend their first two years on campus and their last two years in Germany or France, including a semester-long, full-time internship. They will complete all the graduation requirements for both Elon and either ESB Business School or NEOMA Business School and be awarded a B.S.B.A. in International Business from Elon and a B.Sc. in International Management from ESB or NEOMA.

European students will spend their first two years on their campus and their last two years in the United States, including a semester-long internship. They will complete all the graduation requirements for both universities and can choose to complete a B.S.B.A in Marketing, Management, Finance or Entrepreneurship from Elon and a bachelor's degree from their home institution.

Comprehensive curriculum

The entire business dual-degree program is carefully integrated to teach students general knowledge and language skills, basic business understanding and how to work in a foreign business environment.

As a dual-degree program student, you will first complete much of Elon’s General Studies program and most of the business core as well as acquire basic mastery of a foreign language. You will then complete three semesters of course work in Germany or France, completing the business core and becoming familiar with the culture of the country while building language proficiency. You will complete a semester-long internship at a firm where the daily language is German or French and then return to your European campus to complete a major in International Management.

Upon graduation students will have acquired the knowledge and skills needed for a future leadership position in international business and management with companies operating globally.

First-class facilities

Students participating in the program have access to and training in a range of state-of-the-art business technology. At Elon, the 60,000-square-foot Koury Business Center houses computer labs, research spaces, classrooms and breakout rooms designed to enhance group discussions and activities. The Koury Business Center includes the William Garrard Reed Finance Center, which provides real-time data from global financial markets; the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial leadership; the Chandler Family Center for Professional Sales; the LaRose Digital Theatre, which is wired for video conferencing and multimedia presentations; the LabCorp Suite for Executive Education; the James B. and Anne Ellington Powell Lobby; and the Wallace L.
