Types of Regional Programs

Alumni chapters and clubs connect and engage Elon alumni in their local communities. They are a partnership between the Office of Alumni Engagement and alumni volunteers. Alumni Chapters

  • Have a designated chapter president and 7 - 10 plus board members, depending on the size and needs of the region; president must attend annual regional leaders workshop at Elon.
  • Host at least four events per year including the Welcome to the City event, a Professional Development event, a service event, an Elon Day event and other events that fall into the categories of networking, professional development, service and reconnecting with Elon.
  • Work with the Office of Alumni Engagement to plan and implement university-sponsored events in the area.
  • Maintain a chapter Facebook page to market events to local alumni

Regional Area Contacts

  • Serve as resources for current Elon students and alumni seeking employment or relocation information about the area.
  • Work with the Office of Alumni Engagement to plan and impement university-sponsored events in the area.
  • Occassionally help plan and host events for alumni in your area.
