Types of Regional Programs
Alumni chapters and clubs connect and engage Elon alumni in their local communities. They are a partnership between the Elon Alumni Association and alumni volunteers. Alumni Chapters

Have a designated chapter president and 2-plus board members, depending on the size and needs of the region; president must attend annual regional leaders workshopat Elon.

Host at least four events per year including the Welcome to the City event, National Networking Night event, a service event and other events that fall into the categories of networking, professional development and reconnecting with Elon.

Work with the Elon Alumni Association to plan and implement university-sponsored events in the area.

Maintain a chapter Facebook page to market events to local alumni.

Adhere to all Elon Alumni Association deadlines, especially submitting calendar action plans in a timely manner so events can be marketed through university resources (i.e. - two print newsletters or postcards per year, one email per month and mention in The Magazine of Elon).

Present one local graduate with a Chapter Member of the Year Award.

Have a designated club president who serves as a liaison between local alumni and the Elon Alumni Association; president must attend annual regional leaders workshop at Elon.
