The EBAN book club is named in honor of the late Dr. Wilhelmina Boyd, Elon's first African-American professor in the English department and founder of the university's African/African-American studies program.
Our mission is to provide a comfortable environment for Elon's black alumni to discuss fiction and nonfiction literature in an intelligent and thought-provoking manner. The Boyd Book Club committee is responsible for recommending and selecting literary materials that empower, encourage and entertain our members. The committee also facilitates a discussion board where members of the club may engage with one another on topics related to the readings.
To join the Boyd Book Club committee, please contact Keadrick Peters '10, coordinator, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
