Maroon Sports

The School of Communications is partnering with Elon Athletics to enhance the broadcasting and live streaming of Elon sports events starting this fall. We have created a student organization called Maroon Sports and hired a coordinating producer, Michelle Manzo, formerly director of video production in athletics. The faculty director of Maroon Sports is Max Negin, who guides the school’s sports show that airs weekly on ESPN2 in much of North Carolina. In addition, the school offers elective courses titled Sports and Media, Sports Broadcasting and Sports Information for those who want an academic side to their out-of-class experiences in the world of sport. The school already is home to the Department of Sport Management, and Maroon Sports will serve a growing number of students with an interest in sport communication.
