Architects designing the School of Communications expansion were on campus in February to discuss final adjustments to the floor plan and introduce color palettes for the interior design. It was enjoyable to view their recommendations for the grand atrium tile, theater carpet and seat fabrics, and the possible extension of the red, blue and green theme already present in McEwen. In the dean’s office, we have an architectural model of how the School of Communications expansion will wrap around Under the Oaks in a beautiful way (but goodbye McEwen parking lot). If you have an opportunity to return to campus, stop by and look it over!
