A Stream of Highlights

Five events have made this a memorable fall term in the School of Communications. First, the school completed its four-building expansion project with the opening of a beautifully renovated Long Building as home to Sport Management and the M.A. in Interactive Media program. Second, our six-year national accreditation site visit resulted in compliance on all standards. Third, I announced that I’ll be stepping down as dean in May 2018 after 17 years in the role. Fourth, my former associate dean, Connie Book, has been named Elon’s next president and will succeed Leo Lambert on March 1. All of us are delighted. Fifth, the largest-ever School of Communications alumni crowd returned to campus for Homecoming. And whew, after a fall semester of so much happening, we’re ready for a holiday break.
