Student Alumni Ambassador Recruitment

An Ambassador Recruitment informational session will be held in the Martin Alumni Center (little white house, across the street from the McMichael Science Center) on Wednesday, November 2 from 6:30 -7:30 p.m. This is an informal drop in event, where there will be ambassadors available to tell you more about the organization and answer any questions you may have about our upcoming recruitment. Food will be served. 
 

Who can join Ambassadors?

Any student at Elon University who has maintained at least a 2.75 GPA and is in good academic standing with the university can apply to join the Student Alumni Ambassadors. Our membership ranges from first-year students to seniors and represent a wide range of campus groups, including intercultural, volunteer, athletic, social, political and academic organizations. First-year students are welcome to apply.

Selections will be based upon the applicant's knowledge of Elon, the alumni network, poise, demeanor, leadership potential and ability to represent Elon with excellence to the many diverse constituents of the University.

Please note the following information before submitting your application:

• Applications must be received by Friday, November 4, at 5 p.m.
• Applicants must be in good academic and judicial standing.
• Applicants must have at least two remaining semesters at Elon.
• Spring 2017 out-of-town internship and study abroad students are not eligible.
• Applicants must be available on Tuesday evenings at 6 p.m. for meetings.
• Applicants must be able to attend a mandatory New Member Retreat.

What are the time commitments?

Ambassadors are required to attend bi-monthly general body meetings. Additionally, new members are required to attend the new member orientations and the fall and spring retreats. SAA members are also able to attend and participate in a multitude of programming and events throughout the academic year.
