CareQuest - Community Counseling Center

What is CareQuest - Community Counseling Center?

This new center is a service of the Pastoral Care and Counseling Department of Alamance Regional Medical Center.  They provide pastoral counseling and psychotherapy services to members of the community.

Who can benefit from CareQuest?

Counseling and psychotherapy is available for persons in the community who are troubled, hurting, confused, depressed, anxious or grieving.  If you or someone you know can answer yes to any of the questions below, you may be able to benefit from their services.

  • Are you hurting, sad or troubled? 
  • Have you lost someone close to you?
  • Are you having marital problems?
  • Do you wonder about your ability to be a good parent?
  • Are you losing control of your emotions?
  • Do you wish you could better manage your anger?
  • Do you wonder where your life is going or wish things were different?


What type of experience do the counselors have?

CareQuest counselors are trained to offer compassionate and confidential care.  Counseling and psychotherapy services are provided by graduate students who are earning doctoral degrees in pastoral counseling or psychotherapy through the Doctor of Ministry and Doctoral of Psychology programs offered at Alamance Regional through the Graduate Theological Foundation.  The students have completed master's level work and are under the supervision of licensed faculty members.

Who pays for the services?

The patient is responsible for the fees for service.  CareQuest does not accept insurance; however they do offer a sliding fee scale.

Where is CareQuest located?

CareQuest's offices are located in the Grand Oaks Center on the campus of Alamance Regional Medical Center.  They also provide counseling services at several community agencies.
