Employee Exiting Elon
The Office of Human Resources created the following checklist to assist you with your employees last days of employment with Elon University.
Personnel Action Request form needs to be completed (see link below). Please attach a copy of the resignation letter to the form (if applicable).
Have the employee turn in any property of Elon University (ex. keys, uniforms, cell phones, procurement card, Phoenix cards, parking passes, etc.) directly to you. You will be responsible for turning these items into the correct department.
Please advise the employee that their Elon University email account will remain active for 30 days after their last date of employment (unless circumstances will not allow it to remain active). After 30 days their email account will be deleted from our systems. (Retirees may keep their email account active.)
The employee will receive information from the Office of Human Resources regarding benefits and exit interview.
