  What Accounts Are On The Phoenix Card?

  • Phoenix Cash: can be used at all on-campus locations, participating off-campus locations, vending machines, laundry centers, copy machines, Barnes & Noble at Elon, Campus Recreation, Campus Safety & Police, Belk Library, Health Services, Mail Services, Print Services, and Bursar’s Office. This account is reloadable at any time throughout the year. Funds on the Phoenix Cash account do not expire and will remain on the account until the cardholder leaves or withdraws from the University.
  •  Food Dollars: can only be used at on-campus locations. With the usage of Food Dollars, a 15% discount will be taken at the time of sale. This account is reloadable at any time throughout the year. Funds on the Food Dollars account do not expire and will remain on the account until the cardholder leaves or withdraws from the University.
  • Meal Plan and Meal Dollars: both of these accounts are part of the meal/board plan. These funds can only be used at on campus dining locations. The balance on Meal Dollars will expire by the end of spring semester.
  • Print Dollars: a preset amount added to your Phoenix Card for use of the on campus printers.  Once Print Dollars have been exhausted you can use Phoenix Cash at the printing locations.

                                                                                                        

 How Can I Make A Deposit? 

  • Online: using the web address http://www.elon.edu/e-web/bft/pxcard/ online deposits can be made using a credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted).  This deposit immediately posts to your account. You should receive a confirmation email stating the money has been deposited.
  •  Phoenix Card Office: located in the Oaks McCoy Commons, room 201. You may make a deposit using a credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted), cash, or check. This deposit immediately posts to your account.
  • Phone: contact Phoenix Card Services at (336) 278-5436. You may make a deposit using a credit or debit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express are accepted). This deposit will post 10 - 15 minutes on your account after phone call has ended.
  • VTS (Value Transfer Station): located in Mosely Center and Belk Library. You may make a deposit using cash ($1, $5, $10, $20 dollar bills are accepted). This deposit immediately posts to your account.
  • Mail:  only accepted form of payment is a check. Please include student’s name, University ID or Phoenix Card number, and a telephone number. The check should be issued to Elon University and mailed to Phoenix Card Services, 2650 Campus Box, Elon, NC 27244.

 

  How Can I Make A Withdrawal?

  • The only time funds can be withdrawn from the Phoenix Card is when the cardholder leaves or withdraws from the University. At that time, any remaining balance over $5.00 will be refunded by check and sent to the address kept on file by the University. 

 

 What Should I Do If I Lose My Phoenix Card?

  • If you lose your Phoenix Card you can log into your Phoenix Card Account online (http://www.elon.edu/e-web/bft/pxcard/) and mark your card as lost, or you can contact Phoenix Card Services at (336) 278-5436. At this time, your account will be frozen; therefore, no transactions can be processed until the account has been unlocked.
  • There is a $25.00 replacement fee for lost or stolen Phoenix Cards. To receive your new Phoenix Card you will need to come to the Phoenix Card Office, located in the Oaks McCoy Commons, room 201. Credit or debit card, cash, check or Phoenix Cash are acceptable forms of payment

  • Meal Dollars: preset amount associated with each meal plan. Meal Dollars can be used at any campus dining facility.
  • All Access: can be used for unlimited visits to “all-you-care-to-eat” facilities (Upstairs McEwen, Upstairs Colonnades and Lakeside Dining Hall).  Multiple visits may be made throughout the day for meals, snacks or just to sit with friends.
  • Meal Exchange: can be used at Qdoba Mexican Grill, Winter Garden Cafe, Fountain Market, Java City at KOBC, Varsity Sports Grill, Acorn Coffee Shop, or Chick-fil-A to purchase a retail combo meal. Unused Meal Exchanges do not rollover and will expire each Tuesday night.  Meal Exchanges are not included with the All Access Basic plan.
  • Guest Meal: a portion of the All Access Meal Plans that can be used to treat a guest or use on yourself if you run out of your weekly Meal Exchanges.
  • Block Meal: can be used at any “all-you-care-to-eat” facilities or any campus retail location (Upstairs McEwen, Upstairs Colonnades and Lakeside Dining Hall, at Qdoba Mexican Grill, Winter Garden Cafe, Fountain Market, Java City at KOBC, Varsity Sports Grill, Acorn Coffee Shop, or Chick-fil-A).

  How Can I Use The Wells Fargo College Checking Account (ATM/Debit Feature)?

  • The Wells Fargo College Checking Account gives you the capability to withdraw funds from your Wells Fargo checking account at ATMs and make debit (PIN based) transactions at off-campus merchant locations from your Phoenix Card.
  •  Funds cannot be transferred between your Wells Fargo account and your Phoenix Cash account.
  • Representatives from Wells Fargo will be on campus during Move-In-Day to advise students and link their Phoenix Card to their Wells Fargo College Checking Account.
  •  If you decided to link your Wells Fargo Account to your Phoenix Card at some point throughout the year, you can visit one of the local Burlington, NC, Wells Fargo Financial Centers or contact the local Wells Fargo branch at (336) 222-6363.
