Fall 2012 POWERless Competition

The Fall 2012 POWERless competition was September 18 - October 9.

FINAL RESULTS!

The overall amount of kilowatt hours not used compared to the baseline consumption was 35,544 kWh, enough to power 30 North Carolina homes for a month based on average consumption.

In the area competition the greatest energy reduction was achieved by:
Division II: East Area Academic Pavilions – 23.8%
Division I: West Area – 16.6%

The buildings with the top energy reduction in each Division were:
Division II: Trollinger House – 37.5%
Division I: Virginia/West – 14.1%

Spring 2012 POWERless Competition

The Spring 2012 POWERless competition was February 21 - March 13. 

FINAL RESULTS!

The cumulative campus-wide reduction for the competition was 10.6%!

In the area competition the greatest energy reduction was achieved by:
Division II: East Area Academic Pavilions – 34%
Division I: Oaks Area – 11.3%

The buildings with the top energy reduction in each Division were:
Division II: International Pavilion (Academic Village – Cannon) – 36.9%
Division I: Oaks A – 18.1%
