We find that more successful recruiters stay active on campus and utilize a diversified recruiting strategy. The Elon Job Network
Use Elon's online system EJN to post job and internship announcements, search resumes, screen candidates, manage on-campus interview schedules and pre-recruiting events, and register for job and internship expos.
Employer Mock Interviews and Resume Critiques
Conducting mock interviews or resume critiques with students is a powerful way to strengthen your recruiting relationship with Elon and a wonderful opportunity to attract more top Elon talent to your organization.
By hosting an information session you can teach students about your organization and the opportunities available. Typically, information sessions are held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, beginning in mid-September through November and mid-February through April.
Employer outreach tables are an impactful way to connect with students and extend your brand on campus throughout the day in a casual-setting. We are happy to reserve a table for you in a high-traffic student area during the academic year.
We have a select number of suites designed exclusively for on-campus interviews located in both the Student Professional Development Center and the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business. Our interview suites must be reserved in advance and are available Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Job & Internship Expos
Elon hosts a campus-wide Job and Internship Expo during the fall and spring semester to help you build student awareness of your organization and recruit talented candidates for internships and jobs. We also partner with the Martha Spencer Love School of Business to provide industry-specific "meet and greets" for accounting/finance and sales/marketing. Our preference is to host you on campus. We think there is no better way for you to get to know Elon than to be on our beautiful campus to meet with staff, students, and faculty. However, we realize in-person visits may not always be possible. This is when we hope you will consider our virtual engagement options.
We have designed a state-of-the-art Skype interview suite for our students to use through advance reservation. This suite gives our students a professional and quiet space to interview.
Virtual Information Session
Host an information session about your company or organization from the comfort of your desk chair. We use Google+Hangouts or Skype to connect you with our students. We set-up a web camera and a microphone on our end too, so you can see and hear your audience. We also have multi-screen capabilities, should you wish to show a PowerPoint on one screen and be visible on the other.
Companies that hosted virtual information sessions at Elon in the past include Volkswagen of America, Google, Wolf Trap Center for Performing Arts, Global Health Corp, and more.
Virtual Job and Internship Expo Booth
We are offering a limited number of employers the opportunity to host a Virtual Information Booth at our 2014 Fall Job and Internship Expo. A Virtual Information Booth consists of a table, a large screen behind the table, a head-set and a microphone. We will dress the table and lay out recruiting material on your behalf should you be able to send those materials to campus in advance. We ask recruiters to be connected via Skype or Google+Hangouts for at least one-hour during the event. A Corporate and Employer Relations staff member will help invite students to speak individually via the headset and microphone with recruiters.
Virtual Class Visit
On a limited basis, we invite you to engage with our students and faculty members during class periods, via Skype or Google+Hangouts.
Virtual Student Organization Access
Are you interested in recruiting members of a specific student group? Our office is happy to act a liaison to help connect you with our student leaders and faculty advisors to set-up a virtual conversations with classes or group members.
