
Mileah Kromer currently coordinates all aspects of the Elon University Poll. She is responsible for survey instrument design, sampling methodology, operations, and the Elon University Poll internship program. Kromer joined the Elon faculty in 2008 as the assistant director of the Elon University Poll and an assistant professor of political science. Prior to her appointment at Elon, Kromer was the operations manager and a research associate at Louisiana State University’s Public Policy Research Lab. A native of Pennsylvania, she received her BA in economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania before completing her MA and Ph.D. in political science from Louisiana State University. Her research interests include state public opinion, survey research methodology, state legislatures and women in politics. She is currently working on a project that considers how social media facilitates political representation and communication between state legislators and their constituents. In addition to her work with the Elon University Poll, Kromer teaches courses on political behavior, state legislatures, and women in American politics.
