Elon University Alumni P2P Outreach

What is the Alumni P2P?

Alumni P2P (Peer-to-Peer) calls upon alumni members of student organizations and asks them to reach out to other former members of their organization on the subject of reconnecting with and giving back to Elon. This outreach is led by alumni Captains who recruit and manage other alumni volunteers within their organizations. These volunteers then contact their classmates about offering their support for Elon.

Many alumni have already been participating in the Tap Five Campaign, which asks former students to contact five of their alumni friends about making a gift to support Elon. Alumni P2P is an effort to target and expand Tap Five, shifting the focus to the groups and organizations that alumni hold dear, while maintaining the same original goal.

What is the Purpose of the Alumni P2P?

To strengthen ties between alumni and Elon and to increase alumni participation in annual giving.

Why Volunteer?

By actively volunteering with Elon, the university asks alumni leaders to remain connected and engaged with the university. Through this mutually-beneficial relationship, alumni leaders and volunteers fill critical roles…

…as a lifelong PARTNER with Elon, remaining connected and involved with the university as well as staying informed and knowledgeable on news and happenings about Elon.

…as a lifelong ADVOCATE, encouraging engagement with Elon among fellow graduates, facilitating internship and job opportunities for Elon students and alumni, and promoting Elon among prospective students and their families.

…as a lifelong INVESTOR, supporting Elon annually through charitable gifts in support of the university’s priorities, and investing in today’s students.
