How to facebook message your alumni group friends

• Click “Friends” on the left side of the page.
• Click “Edit Friends” in the upper right corner.
• Click “Create a list” in the upper right corner.
• Select up to twenty people who were part of your alumni group. Prior to selecting friends who are not on the list given to you by Elon, please take a minute to use the Alumni Donor Search bar on the Alumni P2P page to make sure they have not yet made a gift this fiscal year (June 1st to May 31st). After doing so, name your list and then click “Create list.”
• Return to your home page, and then click “Messages” on the right side of the page.
• Click “New message” in the upper right corner and type in the name of the list you just created in the “to” bar.
• Copy and paste a version of the message below and send!

I’m contacting you and other Elon alumni who are members of [group name] because Elon could really use our help right now. If we want our degrees to continue to increase in value and current students to be able to have the same experiences we had, it is important that we act now to raise Elon’s alumni giving percentage. Please consider helping through any of the following options:

1. Make a gift of ANY size to Elon at www.elon.edu/makeagift. I am trying to get people to give their class year (ex. $20.07), but any amount will help boost alumni participation
2. Visit this website www.elon.edu/alumnip2p and consider reaching out to others
3. Post a link to either of the above websites as your Facebook status
