Areas of Expertise

A board certified specialist in geriatrics, Charity Johansson's scholarship focuses on quality of life and patient care principles. Her more than 30 years of clinical experience as a physical therapist has taught her that patients' needs, desired outcomes, and environment all play a role in their treatment plan. She cowrote the textbook, "Mobility in Context: Principles of Patient Care Skills,” to bring evidence-based learning to the basics of mobility principles. She also coauthored “Transforming Students: Fulfilling the Promise of Higher Education.”
