Areas of Expertise

With emerging technologies dominating both personal and professional spaces, Haya Ajjan studies how social media and technology improve a company’s performance and influence the lives of individuals. Her research focuses on the use and impact of social media, mobile technologies and enterprise systems on individuals, groups and organizations. One specialized area of interest concentrates on women entrepreneurs in the Middle East and how they are using social media to be empowered, whether it’s to improve their financial status or their self-confidence.
