Melissa Murfin believes in the benefits of engaged learning, incorporating it into her classroom with adaptations of well-known games such as Catch Phrase, Jeopardy, Pictionary, Apples to Apples and ClueIn her pharmacology classes, Murfin researches how these games aid in content delivery, learning and studying for students. Murfin also researches the effects of free and reduced antibiotics, gathering prescribers' perceptions as well as investigating whether bacteria becomes more resistent as the availability of these antibiotics increases. Additionally, she studies the use of mobile applications for drugs to determine if the information is accurate enough to be used for decision-making.
