Capital gifts ensure that Elon continues to build and maintain some of the finest facilities in the nation, which enhance students' learning and attract excellent faculty.

Gift Naming Opportunities
You can name a room or a space at Elon, including a lobby, lounge, classroom or lab. Indoor seats, outdoor benches and bleacher seats are also available for naming.

Academic Village
Modeled after Thomas Jefferson's vision of a community of scholars and students living together, Elon's Academic Village is an innovative living and learning center that combines classrooms, student housing and faculty residences.

The pavilions in this arts and sciences center are: the Isabella Cannon International Studies Pavilion, the William R. Kenan Jr. Honors Pavilion, the Ella Darden and Elmon Lee Gray Pavilion, which houses the political science and public administration department and the Elon University Poll, the Luvene Holmes and Royall H. Spence, Jr. Pavilion, named for trustee emeritus Royall Spence '42 and his wife, the late Luvene Holmes Spence ’43, which houses the religious studies and philosophy departments, and the William Henry Belk Pavilion, which was named following a gift from The Belk Foundation and houses the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning. When complete, the Academic Village will include seven buildings and an outdoor amphitheater.

School of Communications
Elon's School of Communications is one of the finest facilities of its kind in the nation. It features two fully equipped television production studios, nine non-linear and four tape-based video editing stations, a control room, audio recording studios and a multimedia screening room. The school houses the journalism and communications program, which is one of Elon's largest academic programs. The School of Communications is accredited by the Accrediting Council on Education in Journalism and Mass Communications (ACEJMC).
