1. Who is eligible to be a member of IGNITE?
IGNITE is just for young alumni! All undergraduate alumni who have graduated in the last 10 years (Classes of 2002-2012) are considered young alums.
2. How do I become a member of IGNITE?
All you have to do is make a gift to Elon. Gifts of any size and designation automatically make young alumni members of IGNITE.
3. Who has already joined IGNITE by making a gift?
All young alumni donors who made gifts last fiscal year are listed on the 2011-2012 Honor Roll of Donors. Click here to see the list of over 2,000 young alumni members of IGNITE. The 2012-2013 Honor Roll of donors is also posted and includes all young alumni who have made a gift to date for the 2012-2013 fiscal year.
4. What is an IGNITE NITE?
IGNITE NITES are regional events designed to increase membership in IGNITE. They are hosted by a group of young alumni and are open to all young alums in the area. To register for this event, we suggest a $25 donation to the University, initiating you in the IGNITE giving program. For your donation, you will be able to attend your local IGNITE NITE and network with other young alumni, as well as receive complimentary food and a chance to catch up on what is happening at Elon. 5. I already made a gift to Elon this fiscal year. Can I still be a member of IGNITE?
Yes. If you have already made a gift to Elon this fiscal year and you are a young alum, your gift qualifies you for IGNITE membership.
6. Can I make monthly payments on my gift?
Yes! You can sign up on this site to make recurring monthly payments on your gift. Your recurring gift makes even more of an impact at Elon because it provides a steady and reliable funding for student programs throughout the year. It also helps reduce our administrative cost and as a result we can put more of your dollars to directly support students.
7. Can I participate in IGNITE and The Elon Society?
Any size gift to Elon counts toward your membership in IGNITE. If you are a young alum, your annual gift of at least $500 (for alumni in the Classes of 2008-2012) or at least $1,000 (alumni in the Classes of 2002-2007) qualifies you for membership in The Elon Society. 8. After my 10th anniversary of graduating from Elon, will I still be a member of IGNITE?
After your 10th reunion, you will continue to receive recognition for your gifts to Elon, even though you will no longer be eligible for IGNITE.
9. When is Elon’s fiscal year?
Elon’s fiscal year runs from June 1 to May 31. Your annual gift each fiscal year will continue your membership in IGNITE.
10. I am a senior. Can I become a part of IGNITE?
Yes! All students (first-year, sophomore, junior and senior) who make a gift to Elon become student members of IGNITE. Senior are able to make their gift through the Senior Class GIving Campaign.
