JD/MBA Program

Elon University School of Law and the Martha and Spencer Love School of Business offer a four-year JD/MBA program that gives students the opportunity to earn both their JD and their MBA in less time, and at a lower cost, than if both degrees were pursued separately. Students enrolled in the program will benefit from the law school’s innovative approach to legal education, including nationally recognized professional mentoring and leadership cultivation programs, as well as the strengths of Elon’s MBA program, ranked the #1 part-time MBA program in the nation by Bloomberg Businessweek.

Admission Process

Students apply for admission separately to both programs. Information about the law school's admissions process is available here and information about the MBA program's admissions process is available here. The MBA Program will accept the LSAT for admission purposes (i.e., students do not need to take the GRE or GMAT if they have taken the LSAT).

Sequence of Study

Students in the JD/MBA program select one of two sequences to complete the program.

Seriatim Sequence

Students complete the JD in three years (taking some MBA courses during the summers and winters) and then take only MBA courses in the fourth year to complete the MBA degree. Details of the Seriatim Sequence are available here.

Integrated Sequence

Students take JD courses during the first year, MBA courses during the second year and a combination of JD and MBA courses during the third and fourth years. Students receive both degrees at the completion of the fourth year. Details of the Integrated Sequence are available here.
