Brian Korman - Elon LawBrian Korman

Originally from Lancaster, Pa, Korman earned a dual degree in marketing and finance in 2012 from the John L. Grove College of Business at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. At Shippensburg, Korman participated in business related activities including service with the Investment Management Program and the Mu Kappa Tau National Marketing Honors Society. Korman currently serves as a staff editor for the Elon Law Review and a business law research assistant for Elon Law Professor Thomas Molony. Over the summer of 2014, Korman clerked with the United States Bankruptcy Administrator’s Office for the Middle District of North Carolina in Greensboro, N.C. Korman’s professional interests include commercial transactional law and service as counsel to business owners. In his spare time, Korman loves to golf, travel and play soccer.

Ben McKaig - Elon LawBenjamin M. McKaig

McKaig graduated from Wake Forest University with a degree in business and enterprise management. While at Wake Forest, McKaig was a visual section leader and recruited for the Spirit of the Old Gold and Black Marching Band. He was the treasurer and a founding member of Kappa Kappa Psi, a national honorary band society. McKaig served as a media coordinator at Wake Forest, a position in which he organized, publicized and distributed publicity for upcoming concerts for members of the music department. McKaig is experienced in retail sales for musical instruments where he developed an interest in working with small businesses.

Laura Sloane - Elon LawLaura Sloane

Sloane graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pa. with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. After graduating, Sloane worked for York County Mental Health as a social worker for children with mental health disorders. From 2007-2013, Sloane worked at Lincoln Financial Group in both the New Business Department and the Risk Management/Compliance division of the Claims Department. At Lincoln, Sloane managed complex claims investigations, handled litigated claims and earned the insurance designations as associate for both Customer Service and the Life Management Institute. At Elon Law, Sloane is a member of the executive board for Phi Alpha Delta, serving as one of the recruiting chairs. Sloane has served as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity, the Second Harvest Food Bank and Twin Oaks Ministries.

Sean Walton - Elon LawSean P. Walton

In 2013, Sean P. Walton earned his Masters of Business Administration degree from Hampton University in Hampton, Va., following his 2012 completion of undergraduate studies in business administration with a focus in accounting at Hampton University. As a Business Fellow at Elon Law, Walton has examined emerging legal issues in specific industry and corporate sectors. His professional experiences include internships with the FDIC Office of Inspector General as an IT Strategic Plan and Management Intern, with IBM as a Business Design Consultant Intern, and with the National Park Service as a Human Resources Intern. After finishing his legal education Walton hopes to pursue a career where he can utilize his business and legal background to provide solutions to a variety of clients in a consultant, project management or in-house counsel role. Walton is actively involved in a variety of extra-curricular activities, which include the National Black MBA Association, BALSA, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and volunteer service with the Cary Family YMCA.
