Information Sessions, Tours, and Class Visits
Open House: Each semester Elon Law hosts an Open House. This event will give prospective students the opportunity to meet our students, faculty, deans and staff; attend a mock law class; tour the facilities; and learn more about our admissions process. Elon Law is accepting applications for Fall 2012, with substantial scholarships available, and welcomes applicants and those considering law school to attend this event. Information Sessions: An excellent way to experience Elon Law as a prospective student is to sign up for an information session. During the information session, you will take a tour of the law school and attend a first-year contracts or criminal law class. You will also speak with current law students and the admissions staff during a Q&A session. Register for the information session by clicking the sign up link above. Weekly Tours and Law School Class Experience: If you are unable to attend an information session and would like to visit Elon Law, an Elon Student Admissions Ambassador is available to give you a tour of the law school facilities and answer any questions you have about the law school. An appointment is required. Please contact Admissions at (336) 279-9229 or law@elon.edu to schedule your tour. Prospective students may choose to observe either a contract law class or a criminal law class. Prospective students have the option to observe a contract law class on Wednesday afternoons or a criminal law class on Friday mornings. Class observers will also have the opportunity to take a tour of the law school with a currently-enrolled student. Participants must sign up to experience a law school class and to take a tour.
Meeting with an Admissions Professional: Our admissions counselor, Meg Jordan, alumni recruiter, Max Armfield, and Associate Dean Sharon Gaskin would be pleased to meet with you to answer any questions you might have about Elon Law or to discuss your law school application. Receptions with the Legal Community: During the fall and spring semesters, Elon Law hosts an afternoon reception one Thursday each month from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (Spring 2012 receptions are scheduled for Thursday, February 9, Thursday, March 8 and Thursday, April 14.). At these receptions, our students have the opportunity to network with local judges and attorneys while enjoying refreshments. If you visit on the afternoon of a reception, you are invited to accompany our Admissions Ambassadors to the event. Reservations are required. Please contact Admissions at least one day in advance at (336) 279-9229 or law@elon.edu to make a reservation to attend one of these Thursday receptions.
