Rachael Dimont, L’10, used her summer associate position with Blanco Tackabery & Matamoros, P.A. of Winston-Salem as a way to get her foot in the door for full-time employment as an associate member of the Business Bankruptcy and Insolvency Group with their firm.
“My practice is focused on providing economical solutions to problem loan recovery,” Dimont said. “My services to creditor clients include reviewing loan documents, liquidating real property collateral through foreclosure or deeds in lieu of foreclosure, recovering possession of real property collateral through summary ejectment proceedings, and negotiating work-outs and loan restructurings.”
Dimont is a double graduate of Elon University. She graduated cum laude with a degree in business administration, after transferring to Elon from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, La. Dimont graduated magna cum laude from Elon Law. She worked as a summer associate at Oertel, Koonts & Oertel, PLLC in Burlington and a an intern at Walker & Bullard, PA in Gibsonville. At Elon Law, Dimont was the recipient of a merit-based scholarship and the Best Brief award in the Intramural Moot Court Competition and she served as vice president of the Women’s Law Association.
“Elon Law prepared me for success because my legal education did not end at legal theory. Elon Law went a step further, teaching the practical application of the law and showing me how to use my skills to serve clients and the community,” Dimont said. “My job title is attorney, but my real job is ‘professional problem solver’ and my focus is on providing economical and practical solutions for my clients.”
