Leadership Fellows have an opportunity to serve in a public sector organization through a summer externship offered with course credit and a scholarship covering the tuition for the externship course and living expenses.

Description of activity:
Assisted an Assistant District Attorney in a murder trial from start to finish and consulted with him regularly regarding jury selection and trial strategy. Conducted legal research throughout trial and observed several plea offers. Reviewed and summarized over 250 murder cases to create an index that increased office efficiency and maximized storage space. Reviewed cases bound for Superior Court to determine whether the elements for each charge was met. Observed district, superior, administrative, and juvenile court.
