Do I need a computer for exams?
Laptop computers have become an important tool for most law students. The vast majority of students use them to write answers to essay questions on in-class examinations. If you choose not to use a laptop computer for examinations, you will be permitted to hand write your answers. Students choosing to take exams on laptops are responsible for providing their own equipment.

What are the system requirements for running the exam software?

You can go to the ExamSoft webpage to view: http://www.examsoft.com/generic/frame.asp?faq

For a laptop exam, you muse use a laptop running the Windows operating system configured to use English-United States language and regional settings. PC laptops running Windows can be used to take in-class laptop exams, as well as the latest generation of Mac notebooks (with Intel Core Duo processor, new in Spring 2006) on which Windows is installed and running via BootCamp. Older Macintosh laptops cannot be used to take laptop exams and using a Windows emulator (such as Parallels) is not permitted.

PC users: please be aware that ExamSoft is not compatible with 64-bit versions of Windows.
