Family and Friends Day 2013

9:00 a.m. Registration and light continental breakfast (in the library)

9:30 a.m. Welcome

10:00 a.m. Real World Elon:  Student Experience Panel
First-, second-, and third-year students answer your questions and discuss their law school experiences.

11:15 a.m.  The Paper Chase Experience:

         A Civil Action – Sit in on Civil Procedure (a required first year class) taught by Professor Eric Fink

        Crime & Punishment – Sit in on Evidence (a required class for second/third year) taught by Professor Mike Rich

12:15 p.m. Law & Order – Law School:  Learn more about how Elon Law prepares our students to be practice ready.

         The Practice:  Lawyering, Leadership and Professionalism and the Center for Professional Development help each Elon Law student create a path to the Legal Profession. 

         The Client:  Public Law & Leadership, Clinics & Externships are just some of the opportunities Elon Law provides for students to practice their legal skills with clients and community members.

        Suits: Moot Court presentation – Members of the Elon Moot Court Program will demonstrate courtroom skills and strategies.

1:00 p.m. Lunch – NC BBQ in the Cemala Commons

1:30 p.m. & 1:45 p.m. Optional Tour of Law School

Campus shop will be open throughout the day.  In addition, there will be a silent auction on the main floor of the law school building that will benefit the General Student Scholarship Fund.
