  • STOP! Try the Online Catalog option first!  This is fast and easy.
  • You do not need to find out which libraries own the book. We will do that for you.
  • Books from other libraries may take up to 10 days to arrive, since they are shipped in the mail.
  • Usually the loan period is 3 - 4 weeks, with the possibility of renewing it.

Please Read Before Submitting Your Request ...
  • Many libraries will lend books free of charge. However, if there is a fee we will let you know. If the materials are lost or damaged while in your possession, or returned late, you will be held liable for any charges imposed by the lending library.
  • Books borrowed through interlibrary loan are provided through the courtesy of other library systems and are not the property of Elon University Library. Please return these items on time, and hand them to a library staff person.
  • If you need a renewal, contact the interlibrary loan coordinator before the due date.
  • Be aware that most libraries will not lend audio/visual materials, reference books, periodicals, and genealogical records.
