 |  Letter from Senior Class President February 20, 2008 To My Fellow Senior Classmates: We are quickly approaching the end of our senior year at Elon! The Commencement Web site, www.elon.edu/e-web/news/commencement, will be continuously updated as we approach May 24, 2008 to ensure that you, your family, and your friends can receive the most updated information regarding graduation events. Also, enclosed with this letter is a list of important dates for the Class of 2008. The class officers and I have worked with the administration to select a commencement speaker, and we would like to thank those of you who offered suggestions. I am pleased to inform you that our speaker will be Douglas Finberg, Elon ’94, Senior Vice President for International Marketing at Paramount Pictures. Mr. Finberg has responsibility for liaising with filmmakers, studio executives and producers and has produced marketing campaigns for films such as Indiana Jones and The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, Kung Fu Panda, Transformers, Mission Impossible 3, World Trade Center, and Shrek the Third. Prior to joining Paramount Pictures in 2006 Mr. Finberg was Creative Executive for International Marketing and Advertising for Dreamworks SKG. Please remember to give to the Senior Class Gift. The 2008 Class Officers and I have a goal of $25 per student, but gifts of any size are welcomed. The Senior Class Gift will provide the capital for student initiative grants. These grants are given to students to fund their innovative service projects. Our Senior Class gift is special, in that it provides us the opportunity to make a difference in the Elon community through continuing to fund a certain aspect that has enriched our time at Elon, which is service.
