• Formally a Staff Attorney and Teaching Fellow at Georgetown Law's Institute for Public Representation, representing public interest organizations in federal agency proceedings and in litigation in federal appellate courts, and teaching in Georgetown Law's Communications and Technology Law Clinic. 
• Formally a Fellow and Policy Analyst at Indiana University's Center for Applied Cybersecurity Research (CACR) and Center for Law, Ethics, and Applied Research in Health Information (CLEAR).

Samantha Derr - Law Library Assistant 

Samantha graduated magna cum laude from Guilford College with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Environmental Studies. There she also worked with Disability Resources and Learning Commons departments to help peers achieve academic success, earning her Level I College Reading and Learning Association Peer Tutoring certification. Prior to joining Elon, Samantha was an Admissions Associate at the Greensboro Science Center, and before that participated in the Max Mukelabai Diversity Internship program in Asheville, NC as the Pollinator Awareness Marketing & Event Planning Intern.
 

Fernando A. Nuñez - Immigrant Justice Staff Attorney 

Fernando will serve as Immigration Justice Staff attorney in the Humanitarian Immigration Law Clinic in conjunction with the Family Justice Centers of Guilford and Alamance County, representing non-citizen victims of domestic violence and human trafficking. Fernando received his JD from Stetson College of Law and his B.S. in Accountancy from Bernard M. Baruch College. He is Board Certified by the Florida Bar in Immigration and Nationality Law. He comes to Elon Law from Charlotte School of Law where he supervised the Immigration and Human Rights Clinics. Prior to that he co-taught the Small Practice Immigration Clinic at the University of Maryland Law School and was in private practice as a solo practitioner in Florida.
