Carolyn Desalu - Visiting Instructor, Communications 

• B.F.A., Fashion Insitute of Technology, State University of New York; M.F.A. in progress, University of North Carolina at Wilmington 
• Communications director for Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce. Contributing writer for Atlanta Journal-Consititution, Ebony, Jet and Upscale magazines. 
• Scholarly Interests: nonfiction creative writing, publishing, arts and entertainment media. 

Young Do Kim - Assiatant Professor, Sport Management 

• B.A. and M.A., Yonsei University (South Korea); Ph.D., Florida State University 
• Joins Elon from faculty at University of Nebraska at Kearney. Worked professionally as operations manager for the Women's Korean Basketball League. 
• Scholarly Interests: asset value of fans to sports organizations, corporate social responsibilty in sport, behavior of sport consumers. 

Alex Luchsinger - Assistant Professor, Communications

• B.S., University of South Carolina; M.A., Columbia University, Ph.D., University of South Carolina
• Worked as an associate producer at CBS News, including as a producer and videographer embedded with troops in Afghanistan. Also special project coordinator at WLTX-TV in Columbia, S.C. Recipient of a Purple Heart as a Marine stationed in Iraq.
• Scholarly Interests: broadcast journalism, media coverage of terrorism, health communication, religion and media, international communications. 

Jane O'Boyle - Assistant Professor, Communications 

• B.A., University of Michigan; M.A., College of Charleston; Ph.D. in progress, University of South Carolina 
• Former vice president of marketing for Random House in New York. Author or ghost writer of more than 20 books. Previously taught at College of Charleston. 
• Scholarly Interests: agenda-building theory, mobile media in Asia, political coverage; international communications. 

Frances Rodenbough - Instructor in Communications 

• B.A., University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; M.A., University of North Carolina at Greensboro 
• Serves as a facilitator at Team QUEST, developing programming based on experiential leaning objectives for corporate, community and academic groups. 
• Scholarly Interests: public and presentational speaking. 

Bill Squadron - Visiting Professor, Sport Management 

• B.A., Swarthmore; J.D., University of California at Berkeley 
• Former president of Bloomberg Sports and co-founder and CEO of technology company Sportvision. Previously a partner in a Washington law firm, commissioner of New York City Telecommunications Department, and senior voce president at IMG and News Corp. 
• Scholarly Interests: sport law, sport analytics and technology. 

Kathleen Stansberry - Assistant Professor, Communications

• B.A., Vassar; M.A. and Ph.D., University of Oregon
• Joins Elon from faculty at Cleveland State, where she founded a social media learning lab and led the public relations program. Previously taught at University of Akron. Professional experience as a corporate communications manager for Osram Sylvania. 
• Scholarly Interests: media analytics, social media research methods, health communication, Internet audiences.
