President William G. Ingram, Durham Technical Community College

William G. Ingram is President of Durham Technical Community College. Prior to his appointment he served in several administrative roles for Durham Tech.  He is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University and holds Masters and Doctorate degrees from North Carolina State University. He is a graduate of Leadership Durham, Leadership Triangle, and Leadership Chapel Hill-Carrboro, and the Advanced Future Leaders Institute of the American Association of Community Colleges.

Dr. Ingram serves on the Board of Directors of the Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Chamber of Commerce, and the Board and Executive Committee of Made in Durham. He is a member of the Chancellor’s Community Advisory Committee for Duke Health Systems and the Advisory Board for Envisioning Excellence, a community college leadership program housed in North Carolina State University’s Department of Educational Leadership, Policy, and Human Development in the College of Education. He is a former Trustee of SACS-COC, where he still serves as a Peer Evaluator for community and technical colleges. He has served as member of the Executive Board for the North Carolina Campus Compact, and is past President of the North Carolina Adult Education Association.  He is also a member and past president of the Durham Rotary Club.  Bill and his wife Ann have been Durham residents since 1987.   Their two adult children both graduated from Durham School of the Arts.
