Member Benefits and Services

When you join NC Campus Compact you also become a member of the national Campus Compact which serves as a primary higher education voice advocating for legislation and policy focused on civic engagement. Membership fees, along with funding received from foundations, corporations and the federal government, allow NC Campus Compact to:

• Work collaboratively with higher education institutions to support, promote and resource civic engagement
• Encourage presidential leadership around community engagement
• Support civic engagement administrators
• Promote engaging students and faculty in volunteerism, service-learning, community-based research, philanthropy, social entrepreneurship, and other innovative approaches that address local, national and global needs
• Convene members providing opportunities for member growth and development and building partnerships
• Integrate new technologies and social media to further collaboration and civic engagement
• Advance knowledge and research on trends in engagement, best practices, and pedagogies
• Promote global understanding through local and global service
• Partner with other organizations and entities with similar goals and projects, valuing the unique contributions of each participant
