Discussion Panel brings attention to AIDS, international
issues
AIDS: Where We’ve Been, Where We’re
Going
A discussion panel, titled “AIDS: Where We’ve
Been, Where We’re Going” was held in Moseley 215
Tuesday night.
The five member panel, which fielded questions, was made up
of an Elon faculty member, an Elon students and three
visitors.
Student Adam Smith, Founder of Global Wheel of Hope Ricky
Yow; High Point English Chair; and Elon Professor of
Sociology Tom Arcaro comprised the panel.
Among the topics of discussion was the risk for college
students, history of the disease, the worldwide implications
and what the future holds.
The panel was part of AIDS awareness week at Elon, which
features several events, including a Maroon 5 concert
Saturday.
