Athletes go for the gold at Special Olympics Thursday

Elon hosted the Special Olympics last Thursday. Over 50 student volunteers helped the athletes get to their events or relax between competitions. Athletes competed in track events, the long jump and the softball throw. When athletes weren’t racing to victory, they could play soccer, basketball, pingpong or parachute. They could also put on their game face with face painting.
