floor Powell and sit with Elon’s meditation group.
Sittings last no more than 15 minutes and cushions are

Phi Psi Cli - Seniors, if you did not
purchase a Life Touch portrait package you can have your 2005
yearbook mailed home for $7. Go to the Bursar’s Office
with your money and bring your receipt to Moseley 234.

Positive Attitude Youth Center - The PAYC
program, an initiative of Elon Volunteers!, is a mentoring
program that runs 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Elon students get a chance to help kids with homework and
volunteer in a unique way within the Burlington community.

Religious Studies Department - Students
majoring in religious studies and/or who are planning careers
in an area of Christian service may apply for scholarships.
Full-time students are eligible. Forms are available from a
member of the Religious Studies Department or from Beth
DeFord, in Alamance 305. Application deadline is Friday.
Safe-Skills Self Defense Workshop - A
safe-skills self defense workshop is scheduled for 5 p.m. to
8 p.m. April 28 in McKinnon F. All students, faculty and
staff are welcome to attend. Registration is required.
RSA - Make-A-Wish concert 8 p.m. April 21
in the Alumni Gym. Come support and help make wishes come
true. Acts include Twisted Measure, Sweet Signatures and
more.
S.H.A.R.E. - Miss your pets? Looking to
adopt? Come to the pet adoption fair 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday
outside Moseley. We will also be raffling off a $20 gift
certificate to Sal’s Restaurant. Hope to see you there!
Tee-off for Teens - Leisure and sports
management 227 class is hosting a golf tournament to benefit
Positive Attitudes Youth Center at Indian Valley golf course
April 22. Putting contest begins at 3 p.m. and the shot gun
for best ball begins at 4 p.m. Register four person teams in
Moseley with Phoenix dollars or cash April 11 to 20. $25 per
person includes nine holes, cart, food and prizes.
Volupalooza - Volunteers are needed for car
washes at Mid Carolina Bank on South Church Street, noon to 5
p.m. on April 16 and April 23. Proceeds from the events will
go towards Volupalooza, a day in which the Boys and Girls
Club visit Elon for a few hours of fun and games.
The Pendulum runs organizational briefs free of charge
as a service to the Elon community. The Pendulum asks that
briefs be informative of upcoming events and meetings for
your organization. Briefs should be no longer than 40 words.
All briefs should be turned in by 5 p.m. Monday.
