Readers respond passionately to columnist Wake's opinion
on Terri Schiavo's death and controversy
To the Editor:
To Luke, well said. But what can be done to prevent future
occurrence(s)? What bothers me most is the fact that Terri
was deemed property of her husband to be disposed of at will
and with the full support of the U.S. court system.
My heart goes out to her parents who worked hard to the very
end to save their child's life.

To the Editor:
AMEN... Very well put Luke Wake! A copy of your column
should be sent to the judge that made the ruling, the court
that would not hear the case and to an attorney with the
backbone to file charges on Michael and the judge! It's a
sad day when our legal system can play God!

To the Editor:
I recently read Luke Wake's article about Terri's
death in Florida. I am glad to see somebody else believes
this was murder. I was sickened every day that poor woman was
starved to death. I cannot believe this great country of ours
allowed this to happen. His article said it all. Just wanted
to let you know I support everything he said.
Thanks for caring.

This is in regards to Luke Wake's column [ Terri Shiavo
denied humane rights in her death ]. I thought that doctors
took an oath ''to do no harm''. Doctors have
the Constitutional rights to perform abortions, assist in
executions, and ''pull the plug'' on patients
that might want to live. Whatever happened to the Hippocratic
Oath?

To the Editor:
I thought I would tell you that I agree with every word you
said. I feel so strongly about it that I wrote everyone to
help her. I couldn't believe our government would allow
this to happen. It sickens me that our government did that,
and I feel Michael caused her injuries, and lied about her
wishes. I wish there would be a criminal investigation into
her injuries and death. I also wish the judges would be
impeached. It looks like Tom DeLay will be brought down
because of his comments about Terri's death.
I wonder how bad our society will have to become before we
stop the corruption....It's good to have a person who
feels the same way i do.
