Starbucks to open in Burlington

Plans are underway to bring Starbucks to Burlington. The coffee chain's newest location will be ready to open in the fall. Starbucks will be located on Huffman Mill Road, where the old Wachovia in front of Colonial Mall used to be. The old drive-thru lanes of the bank will be torn down and new ones will be built to create a drive-thru Starbucks... more

It looks like Elon is making progressive moves toward putting effort into educating students more beyond the classroom in more open and unique ways. In a show of solidarity, Wednesday evening in McKinnon Hall, a men's forum was held to discuss sexual violence in an inviting and candid atmosphere. Posted on E-net a few weeks ago, President Leo Lambert's formal address to the Elon community guaranteed the planning and carrying out of this initiative in response to the recent string of assaults and incidents reported on campus, and he did follow through. The gathering was an endeavor by the administration to allow for questions, answers, protocol, messages, and trends to be discussed freely by the males who populate Elon's campus, and for them not to feel embarrassed or pressured to converse about them. The event was open to all males: faculty, staff and students....
