World Classic ends, Opening Day around the corner

Spring break is over and the weather is on the climb which means one thing: baseball is back. After another surprising and historical season, the boys of summer hit the diamond on April 2 to begin the marathon to the fall classic.

George Mason is in the Final Four. Go ahead, repeat that to yourself. I know it sounds weird and most of you never knew before last week that George Mason was a school, or where it was located, or even what conference it was in. Of course, that has all changed now.

Phoenix look to knock off diamond king

To put it bluntly: this weekend is pivotal. The Elon baseball team hopes to avoid a reprise from last year when it travels to Mt. Pleasant, S.C. to play the No. 28 College of Charleston Cougars in a meeting between two teams vying for position in the Southern Conference standings.

Club sports climbs into national spotlight

A new power is rising. You have seen it several times. Elon is on the up and up. More awards and rankings are coming in by the busload. But Elon is boasting another strong program that many don't pay attention to, and you don't get a grade or have to take a final.

This is week seven of "The Pendulum" sports predictions. Each week the panel will test out their sports expertise against each other. The winner will be named at the end of the semester.

The men's golf team will be competing in the Bradford Intercollegiate in Greenville, N.C and the Wofford Inivatational in Spartanburg, S.C. The women's track and field team will be competing in the Elon Invitational in Elon N.C. The women's golf team will be competing in the HPU Spring Intercollegiate in Wallburg, N.C.
