Chattanooga up next for softball

The Elon softball team has found itself in a downward spiral, losing 11 of its last 14 games and dropping into sixth overall in the Southern Conference standings. However, the lady Phoenix can still recover because only four games separate the current third through sixth seeds.

Is anyone else not as interested in the NBA playoffs? Because it's like watching a never-ending marathon of Law and Order. Even though outcomes of NBA games are uncertain, unlike sitcom episodes, that doesn't mean people want to stick around for two months to figure out who will be crowned champion. This year, the playoffs began with the first games on April 24 and could go as late as June 22 depending on how long the previous series lasts.

Phoenix hope to clip Eagles' wings

The 32-12 (14-4) Phoenix welcome an underachieving 23-19 (10-5) Georgia Southern team Friday night for the start of the weekend series. Winners in 11 of their last 12, Elon has already matched their win total from last season with another two weeks left in the regular season.
