Lord Stanley's prize to appear on campus Justin Hite/ Sports Editor
A 35-pound, 3-foot structure of metal comes to Elon this
Sunday and has the entire community on the edge of its
seats. The Stanley Cup, the most recognizable trophy in all of sports, will be at Elon in what is a rare opportunity for the campus and the community. Elon students volunteer their time to build new playground for the Boys and Girls Club Jessica Frizen/ News Editor The lawn of Burlington’s Salvation Army was flooded with the bright yellow shirts of volunteers from Elon and Burlington Thursday, as they worked to build a new $35,000 playground for the kids of the Salvation Army Boys and Girls Club.

If you’ve been flipping through your course catalog
lately, you may have noticed some changes were made by the
math department.
After months of planning, the department was able to change
course requirements for the Bachelor of Arts degree. The new
curriculum gives students more choices for concentration and
makes a double major more attainable. “Judicial Watch” is a new offering by the Judicial Affairs Office to let the community know the outcome of more serious judicial incidents. This section will be a monthly update to better inform the community about the campus climate. The Federal Educational Rights to Privacy Act does not allow for personally identifying information to be included. During the month of September, three students were suspended from Elon for one year and one is in the appeals process. Gifts of giving can be over the top
