The Pendulum

Our goal is to provide the Elon University community with a newspaper that informs, entertains and inspires. Advertising in the Pendulum puts your company’s name in front of over 5,000 students so you are guaranteed exposure in a coveted niche market.

How to Place an Ad

Upon placing an advertisement order, clients must complete and sign an advertising contract. Contracts are due the Wednesday prior to the following week’s publication. Invoices will be sent out and payments are due the first Monday of each Month.

Design assistance is provided at no charge.

Submitted ads are accepted in Word, PDF, and TIFF formats via email or CD.

Advertising Policies

The Pendulum accepts advertising from sources within the university, from the surrounding Triad area and national advertising agencies.

The Pendulum will not print unethical, misleading, or offensive advertising. The Pendulum does not knowingly accept advertising that discriminates on the basis of sex, age, religion, race, national origin, or physical disability. Advertisements for products, services, or promotions that are illegal in the state of North Carolina will be rejected.

Due to Elon’s web policy, advertising is prohibited on The Pendulum Online site.

The Pendulum reserves the right to edit, properly classify, and cancel or decline any advertising. If an advertisement is denied publication, all material and/or payment will be returned to the advertiser.

All advertising will be placed at the discretion of The Pendulum staff. Preferred placement or positioning cannot be guaranteed.
