Sophomore Year - Career Exploration

  • Use the Career Center website and Career Resource Library to research career fields and occupations
  • Evaluate interests and abilities through testing (visit the Career Center to assist)
  • Attend career-related programs (including the career exploration series) sponsored by the Career Center or individual departments
  • Talk with professionals in career fields and occupations that interest you
  • Discuss options with a career counselor at the Career Center and develop a career plan
  • Test career options through volunteer work, workshadowing experiences and part-time jobs
  • Attend workshops or set up an appointment with the Career Center to work on career issues such as resume writing and interviewing skills
