This university-wide body is comprised of students, faculty and staff charged by the Provost with strengthening the civic mission and practice across the full range of University activities. It defines civic engagement as "the partnership of university knowledge and resources with those of the community to enrich scholarship and research; enhance curricular content and process; prepare effective, productive citizens; address critical societal issues and solve systemic community problems; and in general contribute to a democratic way of life."
