The 2014-2015 House Captain application process is now open! The House Captain role is an integral leadership position within every organization with an on campus house. House Captains are role models in the house and serve as liaisons to the Office of Greek Life concerning facility policies, house management and community-building events.
Please refer to the position description below or attend an interest session for more information. Attending an interest session to learn more about the position is highly encouraged. Any member who will be enrolled through the Spring 2015 semester is eligible to be the House Captain. All interested members are encouraged to apply. Info sessions will be held during the following times:
Attendance at a House Captain Info session is strongly encouraged for anyone considering applying to be a House Captain. The info sessions will take place in the Ward Octagon meeting room in the downstairs student space in Moseley.
Tuesday, November 5th at 7 pm – Info session (optional, but highly encouraged)
Wednesday, November 6th at 6 pm – Info session (optional, but highly encouraged)
Friday, November 15 – House Captain applications due to the Office of Greek Life
November 18-26 – Candidate interviews (approx. 15-20 minutes each)
December 2-3 – Candidates notified of decisions
1. Attend optional info session/review job description
2. Complete application and submit to the Office of Greek Life
3. Print off two reference forms and deliver them to (1) current chapter president and (2) any chapter executive council member. Instruct these students to either turn these forms in to the Office of Greek Life or mail them to Jordan King, Assistant Director of Greek Life (2971 Campus Box).
