The Interfraternity Council’s eight fraternities have all made a commitment to scholarship and academics. The Interfraternity Council has set a GPA minimum of 2.7 in order to participate in any recruitment activities. Exceptions are granted in rare cases when there are extreme extenuating circumstances.

IFC recruitment is not limited to underclassmen, and the Interfraternity Council encourages all men whose GPA is below a 2.7 who wish to join a fraternity to consider increasing one’s overall GPA and participating in recruitment activities in Fall 2013 or Spring 2014.

1. All undergraduate male students, who obtain at least a 2.7 cumulative grade point average after a minimum of 12 credit hours at Elon University and are in good standing with the University, are eligible to participate in fraternity recruitment. Grades for Winter Term 2013 will not be taken into consideration for Spring 2013 recruitment.
2. All participants must complete registration and pay the $20 registration fee online to be eligible to receive a bid.
Fraternities have the ability to and are encouraged to recruit 365 days a year. All formal Recruitment events should follow the risk management policies of the individual organizations and of the University and are to be alcohol free.
