Trick or Treat on Greek Street took place on October 27th and provided Elon faculty, staff and community members with a safe and fun place to Trick or Treat with their families. Fraternity and sorority members had a great time hosting and distributed over 4,000 pieces of candy!
Kids and their families enjoyed fellowship and games for everyone. The fun started as attendees enjoyed Krispy Kreme donuts and hot apple cider at the traffic circle in the Loy Neighborhood, and snapped pictures at a mural that showed significant people from Elon’s 125 years with cutouts for faces before heading out to trick or treat and play games. Each of the 6 courts in the Loy Neighborhood hosted a game including Kan Jam, mummy bowling, sidewalk chalk art, mini golf, pumpkin painting and corn hole. Elonthon students’ energy and face painting station set a bright tone and made all of the kids and families feel welcome.
Fraternity and sorority members also did a great job setting a festive tone by getting into the fall spirit, and it certainly showed in the quality of their house decorations and pumpkin painting! Alpha Kappa Alpha won the pumpkin painting contest and gets $150 for their philanthropy and Tri-Sigma won the house decorating competition and won free t-shirts for the house members.
